Euro District 2024

Once again the gang at The Euro District presented an affair to remember. Someday I’ll join them for the city tour, and of course the cookout the evening before was a hit.
With car tags numbering into the 500 range there were more awesome euro cars than you can imagine all in one place. And what a great place it was. The location was slightly different this year, keeping things both fresh and familiar at the same time.
Cars were lining both sides of the wharf making for some great photo opportunities as well as filling the street. Something like 6 intersections were blocked off to get everyone in. The location offered multiple eating options, with food trucks and restaurants ready to serve.
There were a bunch of vendors and sponsors set up, if you were quick you may have scooped up a pair of sunglasses from Pullen Motors or a new key chain at Liqui Moly Lube. Of course Eurotrash Apparel was there with some new designs as well.
Three of us showed up to Cracker Barrel for a relaxing breakfast before the event and after we cruised on over together. We arrived about 10 minutes after the gates opened and the party was already in full swing. Weather was great and everyone had a fantastic time.
Club member Rebel Mundell won a huge low profile floor jack and Chris Wilburn took home an exclusive top 25 award for his 59 ragtop beetle.
The Euro District is a bittersweet show. While one of the best events of the season it’s also one of the last. With just a couple local cruises left that’s about it here. Attentions will begin to turn towards all the projects, repairs and maintenance that take place during the off season. Stay safe and love your neighbor.
